Much of the dentistry world has recently gone “high end,” with a goal to “sell” patients on as many services and products as possible, whether or not they are really needed.
Dr. Ben Glick, whose brand new office is located on Horizon Ridge Parkway near Gibson Road in Henderson, takes a different approach. Rather than telling patients they must get the most expensive procedure done to a damaged tooth, he explains all the options. “This is what you need, but this would be nice,” is a common approach for him. Giving patients options in their care according to time frame or cost develops a high level of trust.
Dr. Glick’s patients, especially those with extensive restorative work, call him “truly a gentle dentist.” One commented, “You don’t have to be afraid, because he takes such good care of you.” While some dentists avoid pain by sedating patients, Dr. Glick prefers to put them at ease.
“I talk to patients, especially children, and explain what I’m going to do. I show them the tools, and even let the kids feel it on their finger if they want to. That way they are relaxed and not so scared,” explains Dr. Glick.
Dr. Glick performs all dental services, including in-office or take-home bleaching, implants, crowns, root canals and more. And if his calm demeanor isn’t enough to relax you for you dental work, each exam chair has a flat-screen monitor over it, so you can watch a movie while he works!
