President Gordon B. Hinckley was ordained and set apart as President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1995. He had previously served 14 years as a counselor in the First Presidency and 20 years in the Quorum of the Twelve. He and his wife, Marjorie Pay Hinckley, are the parents of five children.
