These wonderful cans are quick to make and require few supplies. They are versatile and can be used for any occasion. How about using them for birthday party favors, thank you gifts, or visiting teaching handouts? Just remember to use a can that does not have a rounded bottom because the safety edge can opener can’t “hook” on.
Supplies:
• Safety edge can opener
• Pop top can
• All-purpose craft glue
• Miscellaneous paper, fabric, ribbon, etc.
• Filler
Directions:
1. Open BOTTOM of can using safety edge can opener. Remove contents. Wash, dry, and remove label.
2. Pack can with filler. (I used miniature candy bars.)
3. Using all-purpose craft glue, reattach bottom of can. Hold in place with weight, such as a heavy book.. Let dry.
4. Decorate outside of can with paper, fabric, ribbon, etc.
