Traditions come in lots of colors, but for BYU fans, fall means blue and white.
One annual tradition sponsored by the BYU Alumni Las Vegas Chapter is the fall Rex E. Lee Golf Tournament, coming up on November 16, 2006 at the Silverstone Golf Resort. A shotgun start begins at 8 a.m. followed by lunch, a guest speaker, raffle and lots of blue and white networking.
To register for your spot or a team contact Kevin Christensen at 255-1718. All proceeds from the golf tournament go to the annual scholarship replenishment fund which grants scholarships for any Las Vegas resident attending any of the BYU campuses.
Congratulations to this year’s scholarship recipients: Ryan Christiansen, Scott Christiansen, Andrew Hyberger, Amber Johnson, Jaclyn Kahrs, Taylor Knuth and Jennifer Stewart. President Steve Weston was the guest speaker at the BYU Evening of Excellence August 19th, 2006 and ice cream brought especially from the BYU Creamery was a surprise treat for those in attendance.
