School Nurtures Minds and Character

Business Spotlight

Cumorah Girls 207Once upon a time, a young California mother dreamed of her small children getting a quality education in a wholesome environment. When she couldn’t find a school to provide it, she created her own. That was 1970.

In 2005, that mother and her now-grown daughter brought their winning school environment to Las Vegas, known as Cumorah Academy. The school serves students ages kindergarten through eighth grade, as well as a half day pre-school for three-year-olds, and a half day Jr. Kindergarten program for four-year-olds.

Cumorah Academy utilizes the Abeka curriculum, which has been reviewed and accepted by the Nevada State Department of Education, through which the school is licensed.

Cumorah Academy teaches critical thinking skills, nurtures independence and cultivates character development. Students are taught the accumulated wisdom of the past so that they will have a firm foundation from which to evaluate the present and make proper decisions for the future. Their goal in providing high moral values and standards offers students a well rounded, wholesome environment in which to learn.

Cumorah Academy is pleased to announce the addition of ninth grade to their school for the 2007-2008 school year. Open enrollment for all grades is now available.

The public is invited to attend Cumorah Academy’s open houses and tour the school each Monday morning at 10:15 a.m. Please call to make a reservation at 636-5577. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. For more information, visit www.cumorahacademylv.com.
