It’s as simple as cause and effect. If I do something a result follows. If I lie, there will be guilt; if I eat too many cookies, I gain weight; if I read my scriptures and say my prayers, I feel good. Humility is a very important attribute if you want to learn and feel the spirit. We had two investigators recently that know the Bible really well. They aren’t active in their church but have a great knowledge of the gospel. When we taught them, they would talk forever and try to teach us. Neither of them got an answer from the Holy Ghost. Neither will be baptized.
