Looking to experience some musical summer fun?

Clark County Children’s Choir is hosting its first ever Summer Music Camp! With artistic directors Holly Steed and Kelli McElvany, be prepared to blast off on a choral journey through music history. Develop your musicianship and experience musical excellence from the Romantic Era, the Renaissance and Classical Periods. We will be learning more about proper singing techniques and preparing for the most creative concert we’ve ever performed!

It’s a great chance to have some beach fun as well. The Summer Music Camp will be located at the beautiful Desert Shores Clubhouse and Beach. Sing, splash, dance and more as we offer a great chance to develop the musician, singer, and thespian in you. Summer Camp activities will begin Wednesday August 15th through Saturday August 18th with our final concert. The camp is for children ages 4 and up.

Kelli McElvany is the newest addition to Clark County Children’s Choir. As an additional Artistic Director she will offer more comprehensive musical experience especially to the youngest singers. Kelli is trained and certified in Kindermusik and the choir is excited to incorporate that program into their choral setting this year!

This fall, Clark County Children’s Choir will incorporate four ensembles to meet the growing needs of the community and to offer musicianship to your young child. The fall season will start your young musicians at age 3 and graduate them well into their teenage years. The ensembles include the Caprice ages 3-5, Cadet ages 5-7, Concert (ages 8 and up) and Crescendo (audition only) choirs.

Directors are looking forward to community performances, workshops with other local children’s choirs, participation in a local All-City Choral Festival, participation in a statewide music convention, auditions and participation in a National Children’s Choir.
