The Sunrise Las Vegas Stake will be hosting an emergency preparedness fair for the community. It will be on Saturday, April 26 from 10-2 at the Hollywood and Kell (1825 N. Hollywood) LDS chapel. There will be a variety of booths such as: First Aid, 72 hour kits, food storage, fingerprinting, emergency evacuation, etc.
There will be representatives from the utility companies showing how to shut off utilities in an emergency. The fire department will bring a truck and let the kids use the hose. They also give the kids little fireman hats. We have free food and free balloons for the kids.
Representatives from FEMA, the Red Cross, United Blood Services, Flood Control, Health Department and Clark County will all have information and preparedness booklets.
There will be a children’s booth with preparedness activities, financial preparedness information, Ham Radio communication and gardening for Las Vegas. Please come and bring as many of your neighbors as you can.
