The Third Annual Target Children’s Book Festival is set for Saturday, November 8th, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Presented by the City of Las Vegas and Target, the event is the largest annual children’s literary event in Las Vegas.
There will be over twenty authors on hand, an arts and crafts tent, storytellers, book signings and giveaways, costumed characters, theatrical performances, a hands-on printing press exhibit, science projects, face painters, balloon artists and much more. There will be free hot dogs, chips, water and shaved ice while supplies last.
There will be live performances from Sign Design Theater, We Tell Stories and Fratello Marionettes. There will be DJ music, Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman, News 3 Weatherman Kevin Janison, plus characters Superwhy and Clifford.
The Target Children’s Book Festival will take place at Centennial Plaza on the campus of the Historic 5th Street School (Lewis Avenue and Fourth Street) in the heart of downtown Las Vegas.
