Garden-fresh produce is a delicacy and a joy. For those looking to stock up on the bounties for canning, freezing, drying or pickling, there are markets across the Las Vegas Valley. Enjoy your produce “direct from farm to you.”

Spring Preserve Farmers Market

(Free entry and parking for the Market!) This market is seasonal and will be closing shortly.

These markets are all managed by Steve Johnson. They receive produce from California, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, sometimes Idaho and Washington.  All produce comes from certified farmers.  You can place an order for bulk produce by calling 702-562-2676. Current hours are 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. When Daylight Savings Time ends (Nov. 2), the hours change to 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Henderson Farmer’s Market
240 Water Street, at the Henderson Events Plaza. Open every Thursday all year, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
 
Gilcrease Orchard is the only ‘pick-your-own” farm in Las Vegas. Their website, www.gilcreaseorchard.org has current produce available and prices. The orchard is located at Whispering Sands Drive and Tenaya Way and is open 7am-noon Tuesday through Sunday. Admission is $2/adult, $1/child, and you pay for picked produce as you exit.
