On the anniversary of Joseph Smith’s birth, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir releases their newest CD, Praise to the Man: Songs Honoring the Prophet Joseph. The album is a musical tribute to the life and mission of Joseph Smith, the founder of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Praise to the Man (Mormon Tabernacle Choir®, $16.98), is perhaps more uniquely “Mormon” than any album the Choir has released before. The album’s repertoire focuses on songs about the Prophet Joseph and beloved hymns of the restoration.
The 12-track collection is comprised entirely of hymns and arrangements which have never been recorded by the choir before.
Included are beloved LDS hymns and songs, some arranged by Wilberg, plus new arrangements by Sam Cardon, Nathan Hofheins, and Tabernacle Organist, Richard Elliott.
Praise to the Man is available at Deseret Book, deseretbook.com and wherever inspirational music is sold. For more information on the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, as well as upcoming concert dates and locations, visit mormontabernaclechoir.org.
