Larry and Ginger Ewell have been changing lives in a very positive way for over 20 years. As owners and operators of Latter Day Tours out of Las Vegas, they have taken hundreds of people—adults as well as teenagers– on church history tours. Imagine giving your graduating senior the gift of a firm

testimony. They will join others of their age in the comfort of an air-conditioned tour bus for thirteen days to visit places such as the Sacred Grove, and stand on the banks of the Susquehanna River at the very place where the priesthood was conferred upon Joseph and Oliver. There is power in the truths that they are taught during this character building and life changing twelve days.

As a seminary teacher of thirty years, Sister Ewell knows young people and she knows Church history and the impact witnessing these things first-hand can have on lives. Here are a few excerpts from letters they’ve received from youth travelers:

I would like to thank you for all that you taught me on this
trip. Before this trip I was heading down the wrong road
going somewhere I shouldn’t. This trip has helped me un-
derstand the Gospel more. I know that this trip can help
people know the truth about the Gospel. So thank you and I
will let you know when my missionary farewell is.

This trip has been by far the most amazing and spiritual
experience ever. I have grown so much closer to my Heav-
enly Father and gained a much stronger love for our
Church. I know prayers are really answered. I believe that
what Joseph saw was true and he was a prophet of God.
You have given me a much greater understanding of this
Church through this trip.

This trip has strengthened my testimony by 1000%. It
made me take a look at my life and check if I was really liv-
ing my life right. I want to be worthy enough to see God in
the last days.

I have learned more on this trip than ever in my life. It has
strengthened my testimony greatly and I hope more and
more people get the opportunity to do what I did. You were a
great teacher but it was the spirit you brought that really
taught us all.

This has been the best two weeks of my life EVER.

This trip has been such a blast! I loved every minute of it.
You showed to us how much we matter to Christ. I feel like
a General in the army of God.

You guys have to keep doing these trips until the day you
die. It is life changing and I plan on sending my kids on
this trip! I come from a home where I have been raised in
the Church and my parents are spiritual giants. All my life
I have depended on their knowledge and testimonies. This
trip has changed that. I now feel like I have my own testi-
mony that burns within me.

What do you plan on giving your senior for graduation? This won’t dent, need gas, get lost or stolen, require batteries, or divert them from the path you would have them take. Quite the contrary. You could join the scores of parents that have watched as their son commits to going on a mission, as a daughter turns her life around and with conviction bears her testimony to the truthfulness of the gospel. These moments are priceless.

Adults can experience the same thing as there are three Church history tours scheduled for adults in 2009 that will broaden your vision, expand your knowledge, touch your heart, and strengthen your testimony.
