The Fourth Annual Target Children’s Book Festival is set for Saturday, November 7th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Presented by the City of Las Vegas and Target, the event is the largest annual children’s literary event in Las Vegas.

There will be over twenty authors on hand, an arts and crafts tent, storytellers, book signings and giveaways, costumed characters, theatrical performances, a hands-on printing press exhibit, science projects, face painters, balloon artists and much more. There will be free hot dogs, chips, water and shaved ice while supplies last.

There will be live performances from Sign Design Theater, Nevada School of the Arts, Lied Discovery Children’s Museum, Hollywood Kids Academy for the Performing Arts, Mobility ensemble from the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West performing rock, jazz and blues favorites, new and old, RAZZMATAZZ and the East Las Vegas Community/Senior Center Ballet Folklorico group.

There will be DJ music, storytelling by Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman, News 3 Weatherman Kevin Janison and Jorge Betancourt Polanco, and surprise visits by costumed characters.

The Target Children’s Book Festival will take place at Centennial Plaza on the campus of the Historic 5th Street School (Lewis Avenue and Fourth Street) 401 South Fourth Street in the heart of downtown Las Vegas.

Parking is Free and available to the public (space limited) at the Lloyd D. George United States Courthouse located at 333 Las Vegas Blvd. South (directly across from festival grounds).
