New Book for Easter Study
Most people forget that there would be no Christmas if there had not been Easter. Author Eric Huntsman focuses on the importance of Easter in his new book, God So Loved the World: The Final Days of the Savior’s Life.
With this book, Latter-day Saints have an increased opportunity during the period from Palm Sunday to Easter morning to reflect upon the last days of the Lord’s earthly ministry.
Huntsman provides extensive historical context, cultural background, and biblical insights to increase understanding of the momentous events of the Savior’s last week of mortal life – momentous events that draw people closer to Him.
Included in the book are full-color photos, fine-art paintings, maps, music, and topics for personal reflection to enhance the commemoration of Easter week. This book is perfect for personal study as well as a family study guide, including suggested celebrations of the Easter week.
“Each year has its rhythms with the passage of summer to fall, winter, and at last again, spring,” Huntsman writes. “Holidays are part of that rhythm, helping us remember realities greater than mere seasons, and Easter, together with Christmas, can anchor each year securely in the promises of Jesus Christ.”
