Desert Saints Magazine is published by Ellis Media, Inc., which is owned by the Ellis Family of Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada. Ellis Media, Inc. is a privately-owned, for profit business. We assume complete control for our content and advertising, and we are not in a business relationship of any kind with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Desert Saints Magazine publishes to inform, uplift and entertain the members and friends of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We are known in the Las Vegas area as the go-to source for community information on Church events, interesting people and stories that help members put gospel concepts to work in their lives.

Started by Shari Ellis in 2001, Desert Saints rapidly gained an enthusiastic following in Southern Nevada. Shari ran the magazine with the team of her daughter Ann and daughters-in-law DaLea and Danielle until she passed away in January 2005.

Following Shari’s death, the reins were passed officially to “the girls.” Ann Hart follows in her mother’s capable footsteps as advertising sales manager; DaLea lends her endless artistic skills to the job of graphic design of the magazine’s and advertising layout; and Danielle works as editor, in charge of all the text in the magazine.

In keeping with Shari’s vision since the beginning, we provide freelance opportunities for others as well, including many stay-at-home moms who write articles, and work in other capacities. We treasure the invaluable support of our men, though.

DaLea’s husband Rusty Ellis is in charge of the cover artwork and also is the webmaster for DesertSaintsMagazine.com. Danielle’s husband Dave Ellis has been the biggest hit of the magazine, writing the monthly humor column and maintaining the databases.
