Those who are new to Las Vegas may think that there is no Mormon or pioneer history here; after all, this town regularly bulldozes its past. However, nothing could be further from the truth. Las Vegas is rich in pioneer history! Las Vegas became an important place on pioneer trails as early as the late 1840’s. The grass and water of “The Meadows” fed and watered weary livestock and helped travelers on their way.

When we think of the term “peer pressure,” our minds often turn to the roller coaster of the teen years—high school, hormones, trying to fit in. As a mother, I worry about how peer pressure affects my children, especially now that I have teens of my own. But man, I’m so glad that peer pressure is no longer something I need to worry about, right? Phew!
