Almost ten years ago our hearts were broken when my husband’s ex-wife defied court orders and disappeared with their daughter. There aren’t any words that really describe what it was like to worry about where she was every birthday, every Christmas, every day. When your child is gone, the only thing that fills that emptiness is having that child come back again.

Apr 2006 Issue

My two youngest kids have become very close in the last few months. Now that all their older siblings are in school all afternoon they only have each other to keep themselves entertained. They apparently take their duties as entertainers seriously, because the two of them are always mimicking each other and then laughing over how funny they are. This picture is a shot of them playing a typical game of “Monkey See, Monkey Do” during a recent trip to Costco.
